'Barlows' was another of the names prominent in the history of canal carrying. They specialised in the carriage of coal from the pits in the Tamworth area on the Coventry Canal. Often delivering to Huntley & Palmers biscuit factory in Reading. Many of their boats were built by Nurser's of Braunston. The last to be built was 'Raymond' in 1958.
